Manitoba Nominee Program


The Province of Manitoba in Canada appreciates the vital role that various regional/community organizations such as the Nigerian Association of Manitoba Inc. (NAMI) can play in assisting immigrants to establish successfully in the province.  Hence, the province has created Community Support Agreement (CSA) allowing CSA holders to prescreen applicants who meet the Manitoba Nominee Program's eligibility criteria and issue a Letter of Support to those applicants indicating the community's willingness to assist the applicant to establish successfully in Manitoba province.


To facilitate processing of applicants from Nigeria, the Nigerian Association of Manitoba Inc. (NAMI) has developed the following guidelines to help prospective applicants, and appoints Nigerian Representatives/liaison officers.

The representative in Nigeria plays the following roles:

Maintains a record of all applications (Names,  Address, Phone Number, An Attestation that any form of gratification was not received from the applicant)

Provides a cover letter showing that all documents provided by the applicant have been reviewed.

Applicant's responsibility:

Applicants should download the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) application kits, complete and submit to Nigerian Association of Manitoba Inc. (NAMI) liaison office (depend on the one that is nearest to where you live).  The NAMI liaison officer in various parts of Nigeria include Mr. Bawa Daniel Salka (Middle belt/Northern Nigeria) and Mr. Jasper Osita Nduagwuike (Eastern Nigeria). An additional contact is being considered in the Lagos zone. Please watch out. The contacts of the NAMI liaison office/officer is given below. After filling out the application form, the applicant should contact the liaison officer (via the telephone) to obtain the direction of how to get to liaison office. No amount of money is required to be paid for the services rendered by the NAMI liaison officers (the services provided NAMI liaison officers in Nigeria are free-of-charge).

An applicant must have all their documents (such as photocopy of the original documents including certificates, transcripts, (as well as certificates and transcripts of the principal applicant's partner if married), marriage certificate if applicable, birth certificate, bank statement) notarized by a lawyer (a Notary Public).

A letter of endorsement will be written by the liaison officer stating that he has gone through the application forms.

If the basic requirements are met, the applicant MUST include a photocopy (NOT ORIGINAL – for Government of Manitoba Record) of their Permanent Residence (PR) application forms alongside their Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) application forms, the notarized supporting documents, and endorsement letter (written by any one of the liaison officers) and send to:

When an application is approved by MPNP the applicant will receive their MPNP Nominee Certificate, they should send their Nominee certificate and the original copy of their Permanent Residence application forms to the nearest Canadian Immigration Post in Accra, Ghana (Not Lagos).
